Ten photos honoured
Ten winners were honoured at the closing event of the International Year of Soils in Berne and are shown in a picture gallery of NRP 68.
The photography competition was launched by the Federal Offices for the Environment (FOEN), Agriculture (FOAG) and Spatial Development (ARE) in cooperation with the environmental expert group of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects. Participation was high, with around 700 pictures being submitted. The jury, consisting of soil specialists as well as photographers, rated the images according to photographic and thematic criteria. The winning images will be published in the FOEN magazine "Umwelt" in early 2016 and are already now presented in picture gallery of NRP 68.
